We're Here to Listen
I would like to respectfully acknowledge the territory on which I practice as the territory of the Stó:lō Nation and Ts’elxwéyeqw peoples. I pay respect to the elders, past and present and the descendants of this land. As a mental health counsellor, I promise to support in any way I can in the healing and reconciliation within the Indigenous community.
There's much to see here! So, take your time, look around, and learn all there is to know about my practice. Please send me a message if you have any questions.
Registered Clinical Counsellor/Founder
For the past 19 years, I have worked in the human services field in various supportive roles for individuals and families. I believe enhancing our mental wellness and brain health is best facilitated when individuals feel supported in a genuine, empathetic and compassionate way. I have a very open-minded, holistic, strengths-based, collaborative approach to counselling with the goal of coming alongside individuals to offer support while honoring their lived experience. I have a passion for educating others' on the topics of complex/developmental trauma, generational trauma and many other barriers that have impacted their brain, body, spiritual, emotional and social development. I aim to enhance an individual’s and/or a family’s understanding of their strengths and resilience while utilizing eclectic interventions that fit their unique needs. My greatest strengths lie within my genuineness, intuitiveness, empathy and compassion for supporting others. Therefore, I place great importance on creating a safe, engaging and compassionate space for individuals to share and believe that this is paramount to facilitating and encouraging positive change based upon their goals.
Administrative Assistant
Kennedy is kind, compassionate, and brings over 10 years of customer and administrative experience to our team. She is the first point of contact for new clients and is devoted to providing you with the right support. This can mean scheduling your free 15 minute consultation or connecting you to another provider/agency that will best fit your needs. In addition, she contributes by helping with our social media accounts, website updates and other administrative duties.
Counsellor
Meet our newest associate, Daveena! She is a counsellor working towards her registration as a Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC) here in BC and is offering a sliding scale rate until that is finalized. She works with both adults and youth, drawing on a variety of therapeutic approaches, with a particular focus on Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT).
Over the past five years, she's worked in the human services field, and before that, she spent time in law enforcement. These experiences provided her with a deep appreciation for the resilience people carry and the different paths that shape our lives.
She believes that pain, grief, and struggle are natural parts of being human, and that each of us has a unique story that matters. Her approach is warm, compassionate, supportive, and judgment-free— She is looking forward to come alongside you as you navigate your journey.
Please note: as Daveena waits for her designation approval, her services will be ineligible for extended benefits coverage.
My experience enables me to offer effective and evidence-based individualized mental health care. I can treat a number of mental health challenges, and provide a neutral ground for individuals, families, and couples to manage challenges.
My focus is to come alongside individuals, couples and families to heal, energize, and increase their awareness of their inner strengths. I strive to achieve this by providing a neutral, warm and safe space, listening to their concerns and customizing a treatment plan that aligns with their goals.
My goal is to support you to grow from your struggles, heal from pain, and move towards where you want to be in your life.
